Best Bets of the Day!!
3.20 red TIGER REIGNS - 4th / PUZZLE MASTER - 5th
Tiger Reins travelled as well as anything but did not see his race out. He should be suited by a drop in trip, and easier ground may also help. - racingPost
Puzzlemaster was a major disappointment and will probably prove better suited by 1m4f on easier ground. John Egan reported the colt was unsuited by the ground. - racingPost
5.30 good COSSACK PRINCE - 1st / SALOON - 2nd
4 x 1pt e/w dbls

Sundays results:
3.05 curr FAMOUS NAME @ 10/3 - 2nd
Famous Name failed to build on his unlucky second in last year´s Prix du Jockey-Club. Conditions looked to favour him more than his stable companion, but he was left trailing inside the last furlong, having had every chance inside the final quarter. His trainer did feel afterwards that bringing him back in trip may see him return to his midsummer best of 2008, and he is undoubtedly better than this. - racingPost
3.40 curr LAHALEEB @ 8/1 - 2nd
After finding the surface too lively at Newmarket, Lahaleeb returned to her best, looking the more professional of the first two, which is testament to how much better the winner actually is. She raced just off the pace and ran on well when grabbing the far rail inside the final 2f but was done on the line.
Already a Pattern winner on this sort of surface, she is capable of winning another, but the ground looks an essential component. She may well get an extra couple of furlongs as well. - racingPost

Best Bets of the Day!!
Will be back later, hopefully for another winning day!!
Yesterdays round-up:
4.40 nmkt MARTYR - 1st @ / JOHN TERRY - 2nd
Swinger paid £21.00.
5.15 nmkt DRIVEN - 5th / CHARLEVOIX - 4th beaten a neck!!
Charlevoix, who sweated up beforehand, ran a sound race but was unable to follow up her Yarmouth win from a 3lb higher mark. - racingPost
Driven was 8lb higher than when winning at Brighton two starts back but this was still a little disappointing as he failed to quicken up when required. He handled fast ground at Brighton but did not look entirely happy on it here. - racingPost
+11 pts on the day
Running total +6.26 pts

Best Bets of the Day!!
4.40 nmkt MARTYR / JOHN TERRY
5.15 nmkt DRIVEN / CHARLEVOIX
2 x 1pt Swinger bets
4 x 1pt e/w dbls
A reasonable start yesterday, and a reasonable finish BUT the 2 in the middle were a big disappointment.
-6.24 pts on the day
Running total -4.74
Tip: Keep an eye out for Henry Candy runners who seems to be running into a bit of form with 2 placed runners yesterday at 10/1 and 12/1.
2nd @ 2/1 - Bin End, beaten just a length into fourth in a competitive handicap on his return to action at York the previous week, was also held up early and followed the winner through as he edged closer passing the 3f pole. He had every chance and looked likely to score, but found his rival much more determined and didn´t seem to be putting it all in from the furlong pole. Perhaps this quirky track wasn´t to his liking, but like the winner he is also due to go up another 2lb and has a few questions to answer now. - racingPost
Airedale Lad kept tabs on the leader but stopped to nothing on the home turn before stamina had become a real issue. - racingPost
Crimson Fern, beaten a whisker in a Bath fillies´ Listed event last time and 3lb lower than when last in a handicap, was up with the pace from the start but she was a bit too keen and probably did too much too soon. - racingPost
2nd @ 12/1 - North Cape was steadily progressive in maidens. He maintained his momentum when chasing home two last-time-out winners over 8.5f at Nottingham last time and put in another decent effort over this stiffer test. - racingPost
BE LUCKY!!

Best Bets of the Day!!
Well a 1.5pt profit on the day was satisfying, but the running of 2 of the more fancied runners was a real disappointment.
LA PANTERA - 1st @ 11/4, ran out a ready winner, improving significantly on the form she showed when third over 5f on her debut at Windsor. She deserves her chance in something better now. - racingPost
KAYF ARAMIS failed to give his true running, coming under pressure before the straight and wandering around in the closing stages, and this evidently came too soon. - racingPost
ISABELLONABICYCLEhad her chance from the front. - racingPost
CATCH BOB, the only previous winner in the field, having scored here last month, never looked to be travelling as well as the winner and he was a beaten horse on the run to the last. This was clearly not his form. - racingPost
SABOTAGE and FORTE DI MARMI can be added to the Horses to follow list.
Todays e/w doubles involve:
3.25 good BIN END
4.20 weth AIRDALE LAD
4.35 good CRIMSON FERN
8.45 sal SOUTH CAPE
BE LUCKY!!

Best Bets of the Day!!
Yesterdays selection Final Ovation finished 2nd @ 5/2
Final Ovation had been well backed on his debut and built on that under a positive ride. He made the most of his low draw but found the winner too strong in the last furlong. He should be up to winning a similar contest. - racingPost
KAYF ARAMIS looks a good thing today, but is a very short price imo and one for the big hitters. Rather than back another horse e/w I think I will try a Tote Swinger bet with ISABELONABICYCLE as the other selection.
There are a lot of debutant runners in the 2.50 at Goodwood but LA PANTERA should improve from her first run and hopefully land the spoils.
CATCH BOB in the 2.25 at Kelso should also run well carrying a penalty.
I will be having an e/w double on the pair, as well as backing them to win.
If CATCH BOB wins I will probably stop-at-a-winner as I will be up on the day and will have the e/w money going on to the second horse.
2pts WIN on CATCH BOB
0.5pt e/w on CATCH BOB & LA PANTERA
2pts WIN on LA PANTERA
1pt Tote Swinger KAYF ARAMIS & ISABELONABICYCLE

Best Bets of the Day!!
PACO BOY ran way below par according to his jockey and wouldn't have won over ANY distance.
Obviously 1m on soft ground in a Group 1 race proved too much for the colt.
Trainer still wants to keep him at a mile, lets hope he is right running on better ground!!
2.20 muss FINAL OVATION
Backed on debut but ran green, should know a lot more today. Nicely drawn in stall 3 over 5f and hopefully will do the business for us.
I also liked Lucayan Dancer BUT has a poor draw in stall 2 on the round course.
BE LUCKY!!

Best Bets of the Day!!
The going at Newbury is Soft today, and a lot of fancied horses will not handle the going.
2.40 PACO BOY will love the ground and is the best horse in the race.
There is a question about his ability to stay 1 mile on testing ground in Group 1 company, but his class should see him through.
PRESSING will have to make the running to burn the finish out of PACO BOY and should be backed e/w at 10/1.
BE LUCKY!!

Best Bets of the Day!!
In the Derby trial at Lingfield at 3.15 today AGE OF AQUARIUS is a very short price to win and I will be watching only today.
This is the horses debut run this season and from memory only 2 horses (from about 30 runners) has won first time out for Aiden O'Brien this year.
Johnny Murtagh has been quoted as saying Aidens horses have been in need of their first run this season, moreso than usual. This is possibly due to wet weather in Ireland.
ascot 3.25 DOLLY PENROSE
ascot 4.00 JIMMY STYLES
Are the 2 horses I will be backing today!!
BE LUCKY!!

Best Bets of the Day!!
From 23 rides at the festival Ruby rode 10 winners for a level stakes profit of +14.6 points. Another 5 horses ran into a place.
DAY 5
1.45 Gr3 Mares Hdl
SERPENTARIA (W Mullins/R Walsh) - 7th @ 9/4f
The favourite Serpentaria might be best returning to a longer journey and a sounder surface is probably her preference these days. - RacingPost
2.55 Gr1 Champion 4yo Hdl
MOURAD (W Mullins/R Walsh) - 2nd @ 11/10f
MOURAD's trainer had expressed his concern about this ground beforehand for his Triumph Hurdle third and it probably contributed to his defeat. - RacingPost
3.30 Hcp hase 3m 1f
ARBOR SUPREME (W Mullins/R Walsh) - 3rd @ 11/2
Arbor Supreme never looked like getting to the winner. He´s probably more effective on better ground. - RacingPost
4.05 4yo+ Hdl
SESENTA (W Mullins/R Walsh) - 1st @ 6/1
A big prize went to the diminutive SESENTA who sealed a huge week and season for Willie Mullins and Ruby Walsh. - RacingPost

Best Bets of the Day!!
With 8 winners for the Ruby Walsh/Willie Mullins partnership at the festival so far, it would be madness to desert them on this final day of NH racing in Ireland.
From 19 rides at the festival Ruby has ridden 9 winners for a level stakes profit of +11.6 points. Another 3 horses ran into a place.
With some strong chances of winners lets hope for more of the same today!!

Well Ruby Walsh and Willie Mullins continued their run of winners on Day 3 of the Punchestown festival:
Willie Mullins also had another 2 winners ridden by other jockeys as well, and obviously has his string in top form for this meeting.
