4.40 yar RACCOON
Change in going to Gd/Sft at Yarmouth totally ruined this ones chances.
rp - Raccoon was another in the firing line for a long way but this ground wouldn't have been ideal for him.
6.10 sand PUNJABI - 1st @ 10/11 - Touched Evens in betting so counts.
6.40 sand FOUNDATION ROOM - 3rd
rp - Foundation Room, witha 3lb penalty for her debut win at Salisbury, followed the winner up the far rail but could never muster the pace to get in a challenge and only took third late on. She is going to appreciate another furlong.
7.45 sand PIPEDREAMER - 3rd
rp - Pipedreamer has looked a Group winner in waiting since his impressive Cambridgeshire win off 102, but things have not panned out for him so far this year. The steady pace was against him in the Earl of Sefton, and the ground - much the softest he has encountered - was the problem here, for Ryan Moore reported he was never comfortable on it. Having been given plenty of time to find his feet, he turned forhome last, but he made up a lot of ground up the middle of the track to look a possible winner until his effort flattened out late on.
8.40 newc STEVIE GEE - 2nd @ 5/1
rp - As it stands the form is nothing special, for just over two lengths covered the first six home, with second going to Stevie Gee, who tracked the leaders and kept on to turn in another solid effort.
