Horses to Follow
There are a few horses to be added to the horse to follow list that have run well in the last few days.
Some horses won, others ran a place, but for most it was their first run of the season and they should all have come on for the run.
The following horses have been added to my list to be followed next time out.
STARLUCK - Won his 2nd race this season.
COMPANERO - Won @ 9/4 and is one to follow when the mud is flying.
PARLESOTHO - Won @ 9/2: Follow in mares only hurdle races
KALAHARI KING - Won: Could be a Cheltenham festival winner!!
COOLDINE - Won: Another who could be exceptional over fences.
BE LUCKY!!

Premium Rate Phone Line Scams!!
TRADING STANDARDS
Premium Rate Line Scams
Consumers are warned to beware of phoning telephone numbers beginning 070. These are non regulated personal numbers where the charge per minute can be anything from 35p to £1.50 (approx).
A number of consumers contacted the service to report that they had have received an automated phone message that purported (falsely) to come from a leading courier company. The message told them that there was a radio awaiting their collection and asked them to phone an 070 number to confirm a delivery time.
It is possible therefore that if a caller spent several minutes on the phone the cost may exceed the value of the radio, should they actually receive a delivery (we cannot confirm at this time that anyone has received a radio).

12.00 kel KNOCKARA BEAU - 3rd
Racing Post - Knockara Beau contested a far better race last time but went off too quickly in the soft ground. Restrained this time, he got badly outpaced rounding the final bend before making relentless headway up the hill to snatch third on the line. He has the size to make a chaser.
12.50 sand SUPREME DUKE
1.20 sand PLANET OF SOUND
Racing Post - Planet Of Sound was well backed against the favourite having already beaten him over hurdles. He was held up early before closing up running out of the back straight but never looked likely to reel in the leaders. Nevertheless, he was not given too hard a time once it was clear he could not close the gap and he can be expected to benefit from this first run over fences.
1.45 winc HORA - 3rd
Racing Post - Hora was conceding lumps of weight all round, having been put up 18lb for destroying her rivals in a novices' handicap at Aintree two week's ago, and in the end it all proved a bit much for the 4yo. She was travelling least well of the front trio as they approached 2 out, and could only plug on at the one pace. She has plenty of size and scope though and don't rule out further improvement, but it is probably needed off this mark.
2.50 winc TAKEROC - 2nd
Racing Post - Takeroc has reportedly improved over the summer, strengthening well, and the softer ground on this occasion was expected to help. He set off in front at a brisk gallop and all seemed to be going well as Walsh was looking round to see where Katchit was, but Chomba Womba possessed too much speed and he was left trailing from 2 out.
He kept on right the way to the line though, and this should set him up perfectly for a return to fences, especially as connections felt the run would do him good. He provides his trainer with yet another contender for all the top 2m chases this season, but has a way to go before he can be considered a serious threat to stablemate Master Minded.
3.55 winc ACORDEON
Racing Post - Acordeon set the standard of those to have raced, having finished a really promising second on his debut at Ludlow last season (very green), and he still looked to be travelling well turning in, but could not race on with thewinner and ultimately finished very tired, getting run out of the places. He is clearly thought to be capable of better and deserves another chance on better ground.

2.40 hayd COE
racingPost - Coe was rated 128 over hurdles, the same as today's winner, but he made a mistake at the second fence and his rider dropped his whip, which was obviously far from ideal for a chasing debutant. He can do better back over further on easier ground.
racingPost - Naiad Du Misselot, last year's Coral Cup winner, ran a huge race on his chasing debut. Racing on ground quicker than his trainer considered ideal, he made a bad mistake early on, but quickly recovered and travelled as well as anything. He looked the likeliest winner approaching the last, and produced a better jump there than Rightway Star, but he was ultimately just run out of it. He had reportedly done plenty of work, but he can still be expected to come on for this and he looks a smart recruit to chasing.
4.10 hayd ALFLORA DORA
racingPost -Alflora Dora was nowhere near the form she showed on her only previous start in a Cheltenham bumper in April.

High Court injunction for bogus tipster
Paul Eacott
A BOGUS tipster from West Sussex has been prevented from carrying out any more scams after being hit with a High Court injunction following action taken by the OFT.
Denis McCarthy sent out a series of mailshots under the name of D&E Associates offering a racing tipster service which, at a cost of up to £397, promised the chance to win "over £2,000 per week tax free". It is believed that more than 4,000 people sent money in response to the letters, netting McCarthy an estimated £300,000.
The OFT considered the mailings to be misleading as they gave the impression that the supposed experts behind D&E Associates, Peter Deegan and Christopher Emmerson, were real people with over 60 years combined experience in the racing industry who had access to inside information.
It was claimed that Deegan "had been involvedwith horse racing for nearly 40 years", and had worked as a "private handicapper for the biggest punter/owner in the UK", while Emmerson was "extremely well known within the racing fraternity". In fact, there was no evidence that either person actually existed.
Further misleading claims were made about the past success of the tipping service, including that members had made "over £350,000 clear tax-free profit in the previous six years". McCarthy failed to provide any evidence to substantiate these claims.
Mike Haley, director of consumer protection at the OFT, said: "These mailings used fictitious names and false claims to mislead thousands of consumers into sending money in the belief they would have access to a successful tipster service."
The High Court injunction prohibits McCarthy from continuing to be involved in the publication of misleading advertisements promoting tipster services.
The OFT, who were assisted by Brighton & Hove local authority trading standards service during the investigation, estimate that that the public lose at least £5 million every year to bogus racing tipsters.
