Today at 1.15 at Punchestown EBAZIYAN runs in a hurdle race, and although a bit short to back on his first run this season, hopefully he should put in an impressive performance.

LAYing Staking Plan

Someone emailed me asking how to use a Staking plan when LAYing horses (Betting on them to lose).

A simple Staking plan is to risk 2% of your betting bank on each LAY bet.

So for example if you have a Betting Bank of £1000, you risk £20 (2% of Bank) in each LAY bet.

If the horse you are LAYing is 2/1, the Backers stake will be £10, meaning if the horse loses you WIN £10.

If the horse wins however you will LOSE £20.

You can recalculate the size of your Bank at the end of each day or at the end of each week, whichever you find the most convenient.

So if you decide to recalculate weekly, and your Bank stands at £1100 after 1 week, you now risk £22 (2% of the Bank) in each LAY bet.

Hope that makes sense to everybody!!

"old jamaican man 'that jockey couldnt ride my sister'"

"HE NO TRY! HE NO TRY! HE NO TRY!

Horses to Follow

Been a bit lax recently, but one to be on today and also for the notebook is:

OUR BOMBER HARRIS in the 1.15 at Fontwell.

You could well see this one lining up in the Cheltenham Gold Cup in a couple of years!!

Listening to an interview with a very bullish George Baker today,he thinks KANGRINA @ 9/2 is his best chance of the day and BUGSYS BOY @ 6/1 is a cracking e/w bet.

1.45 BUGSYS BOY

2.00 KANGRINA

Horses to Follow

There are a few horses to be added to the horse to follow list that have run well in the last few days.

Some horses won, others ran a place, but for most it was their first run of the season and they should all have come on for the run.

The following horses have been added to my list to be followed next time out.

STARLUCK - Won his 2nd race this season.

COMPANERO - Won @ 9/4 and is one to follow when the mud is flying.

PARLESOTHO - Won @ 9/2: Follow in mares only hurdle races

KALAHARI KING - Won: Could be a Cheltenham festival winner!!

COOLDINE - Won: Another who could be exceptional over fences.

BE LUCKY!!

Premium Rate Phone Line Scams!!

TRADING STANDARDS

Premium Rate Line Scams

Consumers are warned to beware of phoning telephone numbers beginning 070. These are non regulated personal numbers where the charge per minute can be anything from 35p to £1.50 (approx).

A number of consumers contacted the service to report that they had have received an automated phone message that purported (falsely) to come from a leading courier company. The message told them that there was a radio awaiting their collection and asked them to phone an 070 number to confirm a delivery time.

It is possible therefore that if a caller spent several minutes on the phone the cost may exceed the value of the radio, should they actually receive a delivery (we cannot confirm at this time that anyone has received a radio).
